It was one of those famous September fishing days we get this time of year at the marina. We had a lot of boats head offshore to make use of this beautiful holiday weekend and they were not disappointed! We had a good amount of boats return from the Poormans today with a mix of tile fish and mahi. This included the crews of the “Three J’s”, the “Marli”, and the “Cabana.” Most of our boats headed to the Baltimore Canyon today in search of the billfish bite. The crew of the “Boss Hogg” had 6 white releases and also a bunch of mahi. The “Double J” returned with 2 white releases while the “Bailey’s Ark” returned with 4 sailfish releases and a white marlin release. The crew of the Special Situation had 3 sailfish releases and 4 white releases. The “Pumpin Hard” had 2 white releases. Finally we had the crew of the “Billfisher” return with 10 white releases and 5 sailfish releases. It was a great kick start to September and we will see how they make out for the holiday tomorrow!!
