It was a beautiful day at the marina and a great day to ring in the month of September. There is nothing like a September sky down on the docks especially this evening with the shadow of numerous marlin flags flying. Our first boat to return back to the marina was the Marli. They were in the Poormans and had a bunch of tilefish, a yellowfin, and a dolphin. All of our other boats headed to the Wilmington Canyon where they found success. The crew of the Sea Hag had 4 white releases and a blue marlin release. The Reel Chaos had 6 white releases and some mahi. Finally the crew of the Reel Joy returned with 7 white releases. Tomorrow start the first day of the Marlin Club’s 64th annual Labor Day tournament and it looks like a few of our boats our going to fish their first day tomorrow so we will keep you posted!!
