What a difference a day makes! After a few quiet days of weather keeping the boats stuck at the dock, the weather today allowed the fleet to once again head offshore. They were not disappointed to find the fish were still biting and we had the wheelbarrows lined up once again! There was a mix of fishing grounds today with half going to the Poormans. The first to return was the ‘Double J’ with 6 yellowfin. The’White Lightning had 14 yellowfin, while the ‘Bar South’ had 12 yellowfin, 1 dolphin and a white release. The ‘Grande Pez’ returned with 2 yellowfin and a nice big eye and the ‘Pumpin Hard’ returned with 14 yellowfin and 2 white releases. The other half of the fleet chose to fish in the Wilmington with the first being the crew of the ‘Osprey’ who returned with 16 yellowfin and a white release. Next up we had the crew of the ‘Reel Chaos’ returning with 6 yellowfin and 14 big eye tuna.
