Happy 4th of July! We hope your enjoying a fabulous day with friends and family! We had a decent amount of boats go offshore today, both charter fishing and fishing in the Blue Marlin World Cup. The Blue Marlin World Cup is a one day fishing tournament around the globe. Crews enter and fish from there respected ports and fish around the world for the biggest/heaviest blue marlin. Although none of our boats boated a big one, we’ve been told the winning blue marlin was boated in Cape Verde weighing a massive 936 pounds!
Our charter boats went to a variety of places today stretching from the Masseys Canyon to the Baltimore Canyon.
Returning from the Massey’s Canyon was the ‘Osprey’ catching 3 yellowfin tuna and 20 bluefish and the ‘Marli’ catching 6 yellowfin tuna and 6 bluefish.
Heading to the Washington Lumps was the ‘Boss Hogg’ catching 3 yellowfin tuna and 22 bluefish.
Venturing out to the Baltimore Canyon today was the ‘C Boys’ catching 2 mahi mahi and releasing 1 white marlin, the ‘Billfisher’ catching 2 yellowfin, 1 mahi mahi, and releasing 4 white marlin, and lastly the ‘Fish On’ releasing 5 white marlin.
Returning from the Poormans Canyon today was the ‘Reel Chaos’ catching 2 yellowfin and 1 bluefish.
Heading to the Hot Dog today was the ‘Hall Pass’ catching 2 yellowfin, 10 bluefish, and releasing 2 white marlin.
