The white marlin have officially arrived! With the White Marlin Open just 8 days away, it’s perfect timing! The Poorman’s Canyon was the hot spot today as the majority of our fleet went in that direction. Returning back to the dock first was the ‘Zipper’ releasing 3 white marlin and catching 2 dolphin, followed by the ‘Electric Bill’ who released 4 white marlin, the ‘Fish On’ catching 3 dolphin and releasing 4 white marlin, the ‘Reel Joy’ releasing 4 white marlin, the ‘Lucky Duck’ releasing 1 white marlin, the ‘Par Five’ releasing 4 white marlin and 1 blue marlin, the ‘Bear’ returning with a 65 lb yellowfin, the ‘Martha D’ releasing 3 white marlin, the ‘Tighten Up’ catching 1 dolphin and 4 white marlin, the ‘Primary Search’ who returned from an overnight trip with 1 wahoo, 1 dolphin, and 11 white marlin releases, and finally the ‘Buckshot’ with 5 white marlin releases. Venturing to the Washington Canyon was the ‘Boss Hogg’ catching 12 dolphin and releasing 3 white marlin and the ‘Theresa Jean’ catching 1 white marlin. The white marlin bite is hot right now!
