It was an exciting day down at the docks with the first busy fishing day of the season! A big portion of the fleet headed out looking for the fish and they were not disappointed. First back to the dock was the crew on the “Lucky Duck” returning from the Baltimore Canyon with 11 yellowfin. The rest of the fleet went to the Poormans Canyon today. The crew on the “Double J” returned with 8 yellowfin and 3 dolphin. The “Boss Hogg” returned with 8 yellowfin while the crew on the “Reel Chaos” had 19 yellowfin. The boys on the “Fish On” had 2 yellowfin and finally the guys on the “Grande Pez” returned with 2 yellowfin and released a third. The first annual Battle of the Buckles Tournament is currently wrapping up, having 18 boats entered made it a great kick off for this first year event! Looks like we will have a few boats out again tomorrow so we shall see what they find!
