Dare we say the September bite is upon us?! The fleet was a little more spread out today then they have been the past few days. Heading out to the Baltimore Canyon on their own was the ‘Marli’ catching 35 dolphin. Venturing out to the Wilmington Canyon was the ‘Whiskey Kilo’ returning with 40 dolphin and releasing 1 white marlin, the ‘Reel Chaos’ releasing 8 white marlin and catching 1 dolphin, the ‘Sea Hag’ releasing 7 white marlin and catching 3 dolphin and lastly the ‘Voodoo Child’ with an impressive day releasing 10 white marlin. Heading to the Poormans Canyon was the ‘C-Boys’ catching 3 dolphin and releasing 3 white marlin, the ‘Grande Pez’ catching 2 dolphin and releasing 2 white marlin, and lastly the ‘Fish On’ catching 3 dolphin and releasing 5 white marlin.

The weather looks great for tomorrow, as we expect a lot of crews to go after this fantastic white marlin bite. Stay tuned!

Boats in our fleet were finally able to get a good fishing day in after all this bad weather is finally behind us! The Washington and Poormans Canyon were the hot spots today, as the September bite is finally starting to pick up. Venturing in the direction of the Washington Canyon was the ‘Marli’ catching their limit of tile fish and 9 dolphin, the ‘Special Situation’ releasing 3 white marlin, the ‘Blue Eyes’ releasing 1 white marlin, the ‘Lucky Duck’ releasing 4 white marlin, and lastly the ‘Let It Ride’ releasing 4 white marlin as well. Heading to the Poormans Canyon today was the ‘Osprey’ catching 2 dolphin and releasing 1 blue and white marlin,the ‘Rascal’ releasing 2 white marlin, and lastly the ‘C Boys’ had a fantastic day catching 2 dolphin and releasing 4 white marlin, as well as releasing 1 blue marlin!

It’s hard to believe that the month of August is almost a wrap!  What a successful month it was with a great turnout for the White Marlin Open, the Poor Girls, and the Mid-Atlantic tournaments.  After a quiet few days on the docks with weather preventing our fleet from leaving , today we had a few boats head out to see what was out there.  The Poor Man’s Canyon was the fishing grounds of choice today for the first few boats.  First back to the dock was the crew of the “Marli” returning with 2 dolphin and a white release.  Next back we had the crew of the “Tighten Up” who released  5 whites and 1 blue marlin.  The crew of the “Let it Ride”  returned with 3 white releases. The crew of the “Roll Groove” returned from the 151 line, catching 1 wahoo, 3 yellowfin while also releasing 4 white marlin.  Finally we had the crew of the “No Quarter” come back from the Baltimore Canyon with 3 dolphin, 1 yellowfin and 3 white releases.  Looks like the weather will continue to improve and a few more boats are going to venture out again tomorrow!

It was the final day of the Poor Girls Open, which resulted in a lot of boats out fishing today! Venturing to the Baltimore Canyon today was the DA Sea releasing 5 white marlin, the ‘Max Bet’ releasing 1 blue marlin and 3 white marlin, the ‘Lights Out’ releasing 2 white marlin, the ‘Hubris’ releasing 2 white marlin, the ‘Cabana’ releasing 1 blue marlin, 2 white marlin while also catching 1 wahoo, and the ‘Par Five’ releasing 3 white marlin. Heading North to the Wilmington was the ‘Osprey’ catching 4 dolphin and 1 wahoo, as well as the ‘Texas Tea’ releasing 1 blue marlin. The ‘Bar South’ releasing 1 blue marlin, 2 white marlin, and catching 1 dolphin and the ‘Special Situation’ releasing 2 white marlin. The ‘Fish On’ ventured alone to the 461 Lump which resulted in 2 white marlin releases. Venturing to the Poormans Canyon was the 3 J’s releasing 1 white marlin, as well as the ‘Tighten Up’ releasing 2 white marlin. Finally, fishing out of the Washington Canyon today was the ‘C Boys’ releasing 2 blue marlin and 5 dolphin and the ‘Buckshot’ with 3 white marlin releases. It looks like everyone is gearing up for The Mid Atlantic tournament tomorrow that’s happening next week right here out of Sunset Marina. Be sure to come by and check out the scales!

With the Poor Girl’s Open going on out of Bahia Marina the docks were quite busy tonight!! The Baltimore Canyon and the Poormans Canyon seemed like the hot spots for the day with most of our boats venturing in those directions. Heading out to the Poormans Canyon today was the ‘Max Bet’ releasing 4 white marlin, the ‘Voodoo Child’ releasing 1 white marlin, the ‘Cabana’ releasing 1 white marlin, the ‘Goin In Deep’ catching 1 wahoo and 1 dolphin while also releasing 2 white marlins, the ‘C-Boys’ catching 8 dolphin and 1 white marlin, and finally the ‘Miss Victoria’ with our first GRAND SLAM of the year releasing 6 white marlin, 1 sailfish, and 1 blue marlin!! Venturing out tot the Baltimore Canyon today was the ‘Osprey’ catching 3 dolphin and releasing 1 white marlin, the ‘Electric Bill’ releasing 2 blue marlin and 1 white marlin, the ‘J.T.’ releasing 1 white marlin, the ‘Marli’ catching 1 yellowfin and 2 dolphin, the ‘Tighten Up’ releasing 1 blue marlin, the ‘2nd Chance’ releasing 2 white marlin, the ‘Drillin and Billin’ releasing 1 white marlin, and lastly the ‘Grande Pez’ releasing 1 white marlin! There’s still one more day left in the Ladies’ Tournament, so it looks like plenty of crews will be going out tomorrow!

There were only a limited amount of boats fishing out of the fleet today. Venturing to the Baltimore Canyon was the ‘Cabana’ releasing 5 white marlin and catching 10 dolphin, as well as the ‘Grande Pez’ catching 3 dolphin. Heading out to the Washington Canyon was the ‘Marli’ releasing 2 white marlin and catching 3 dolphin. Lastly, the ‘C-Boys’ returned with 3 white marlin releases.

We closed out the busy week with another quiet day down on the docks.  We had a few boats head out in search of a good bite.  First back to the dock was the “Cabana” returning from the Baltimore Canyon with 4 white releases, 1 blue release, and 20 dolphin.  The “Marli” came in shortly behind them from the Poorman’s Canyon with 3 white releases and a dolphin.  Fishing alongside them was the crew of the “Reel Chaos” who had 3 white releases.  The “No Quarter” chose to fish in the Rockpile today and returned with a blue marlin release.  Next up on the books is the 26th Annual Poor Girl’s Open starting August 15-17th.  Have you and your girlfriends booked your fishing trip yet?  Give us a call at 410-213-9600 to see which boats are available.

After an eventful week during the White Marlin Open the docks were certainly quiet this afternoon! A few of our boats ventured out to the Poorman’s Canyon in search of some more white marlin. The ‘Marli’ arrived back to the dock first this afternoon with 1 blue release, 2 white releases, and 1 dolphin. The ‘No Quarter’ returned shortly after, after a tremendous day of fishing releasing 2 blue marlin and 4 white marlin. The ‘Theresa Jean’ returned from the Poorman’s with 4 white marlin releases and 19 dolphin.  As the marlin bite stays consistent, more and more boats are venturing out in search of a good bite!

The Baltimore Canyon was a busy place to be today as all of the boats ventured that way to find a good white marlin bite as next week approaches. Getting back to the dock first, as usual, was the ‘Osprey’ releasing 1 white marlin,  the ‘Theresa Jean’ releasing 1 white marlin, the ‘Reel Chaos’ releasing 2 white marlin, the ‘Bar South’ releasing 2 white marlin, the ‘Let It Ride’ releasing 2 white marlin, the ‘Gret’s 3 J’s’ had an incredible day catching 10 dolphin and releasing 8 white marlin, the ‘Cabana’ releasing 4 white marlin, the ‘Pumpin Hard’ releasing 2 white marlin, and lastly the ‘Goose’ who also had a great day releasing 8 white marlin. The docks are completely full for the White Marlin Open next week, so if you get a chance come check out all the action!

What a way to start off the month of August! We had several boats out fishing and also more of our tournament boats arriving early to scope out the fishing grounds!   Today all of our boats headed out to the Baltimore Canyon and came back with the flags flying!  First back to the dock was the “Lights Out” returning with 1 blue marlin release and a few dolphin.  The “Reel Steel” was behind them with 1 white release, and then we had the “Reel Joy” with 1 blue marlin release and 5 white releases.  The “Miss Victoria” released a white marlin as well as the crew of the “Lucky Duck”.  Finally we had the crew of the “Let it Ride” return with 13 white releases.  Looks like we have another good bunch of boats heading out tomorrow as they continue to prep for next week!

Things are really starting to build up around here as everyday more and more tournament boats are trickling in.  We did have a few boats head out in search of the bite and they were not disappointed.  Our first set of boats headed to the Poorman’s Canyon.  First back to the dock was the “No Quarter” with 2 white releases.  The “Buckshot” was shortly behind them returning with 2 white releases as well and finally we had the crew of the “C Boys” return with 11 dolphin and 2 white releases.  The “Pumpin Hard”  fished in the Baltimore Canyon today and had a white marlin release.  Fishing with them was the crew of the “Double J” who returned with 3 dolphin.  Many of our boats were steady fueling throughout the day and it looks like many more will be heading out tomorrow to see what they can find!

The white marlin bite is still hot with a good amount of boats heading out in search of them today. Venturing down to the Norfolk and returning to the dock first was the ‘Osprey’ who had an impressive day catching 1 wahoo, 1 big eye tuna, 2 blue marlin releases, and 1 white marlin release. Returning from the Hot Dog was the ‘Marli’ with 1 blue release, 6 white releases, and 2 dolphin. The remainder of the fleet was in the Poormans Canyon, which resulted in a great day for the crews. The ‘Whiskey Kilo’ caught 1 yellowfin, the ‘White Lightning’ caught 1 dolphin and had 1 white release, the ‘Tighten Up’ with 1 dolphin and 6 white releases, and lastly the ‘Fin Razr’ catching 1 dolphin and releasing 4 white marlin.
