You cannot beat the marlin bite we have had the past few weeks. Multiple people on the docks have compared the fishing we are seeing now to the fishing we saw back in the 2010s. The marlin fishing seems to be steady, and everyone is trying to get in on the action. Yesterday was a great day for the fleet with multiple boats reaching double digits in releases. The top two boats from the day were “Billfisher” with 34 white releases and “Sea Hag” with 33 white releases, both fishing in the Washington Canyon. The whole fleet had a great day, including “Reel Chaos” with 20 white releases, “Sequel” with 17 white releases, “Special Situation” with 16 white releases, “Reel Joy” with 15 white releases, “Southern C’s” with 15 white releases, and “Bar South” with 14 white releases. If you can get offshore, now is a great time to go!
