White marlin fishing has been on fire in Ocean City!! This past week, the fleet has been coming back with riggers full of flags. Friday, July 31st, the “Billfisher” and the “Max Bet” both came back with 30 or more flags, and every boat we talked to had double-digit white marlin bites. The fish are out there, just in time for the 53rd Annual White Marlin Open. We had the chance to talk to Chester Sims from the “Lights Out” about his day on July 27th, he ended the day with 2 blue marlin releases and 7 white marlin releases. Chester also told us he was excited and ready to get into the Open! Check out the video to see the full interview.  Today is a prep day for the White Marlin Open on the docks, and from talking with some of the guys on the docks, it seems like most of the boats will be laying on Monday and will shoot to go Tuesday. It’s going to be an exciting week here in Ocean City! At Sunset Marina, we have vendors at Sunset Provisions and Atlantic Tackle.
