Posted 7 years agoPlenty of Tuna out in the ocean for the upcoming Ocean City Tuna Tournament at the Ocean City Fishing Center! The ‘Rhonda’s Osprey’ fished the Masseys and caught 11 Yellowfin and 1 Dolphin. Out of the Hambone was the Boss Hogg, who caught a whopping 12 Yellowfin. The ‘Marli’ fished the Hot Dog today, catching 6 Yellowfin and 1 Dolphin. Most of the fleet has charters booked right up until the tournament this weekend, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Posted 7 years agoWhile fishing has been abnormally slow lately, today was quite eventful as many of our boats were able to find an abundance of fish throughout the Atlantic. First back to the dock was the Osprey with 9 yellowfin and 2 dolphin at the Hot Dog. The Reel Toy was also fishing in the Hot Dog and caught 5 yellowfin. Venturing to the Baltimore Canton today was the No Quarter, who caught 1 trigger fish, 3 dolphin, 3 yellowfin, 1 mako, while also releasing 20 yellowfin and 1 white marlin. Nearby in the Baltimore Canyon was the Reel Chaos who caught 20 tile fish and 1 dolphin. The crew of the Boss Hogg fished the Washington Canyon and caught several different fish including 1 yellowfin, 1 dolphin, and 30 tile fish. Also in the Washington was the Pumpin Hard who caught 1 yellowfin. One boat that ventured away from the crowd today was the Marli that successfully returned with an impressive 16 yellowfin at the Tea Cup.

Posted 7 years agoAnother eventful day at Sunset Marina docks- with plenty of Dolphin, Yellowfin, and Bluefin! The ‘C-Boys’ was our featured charter boat of the day, bring back 1 Yellowfin and releasing 10, also releasing a White Marlin from the Washington. The ‘Reel Chaos’ had 1 Dolphin also from the Washington. The ‘Marli’ had 3 Yellowfin from the Parking Lot. All of our other boats decided to fish the Hot Dog Today. The ‘White Lightning’ had 1 Dolphin, and the ‘Chasin Tails’ caught 3 Yellowfin and 1 Dolphin. ‘Boss Hogg’ had 2 Yellowfin and 1 Bluefin. The ‘Zipper’ had 2 Yellowfin and 2 Dolphin. The ‘Three J’s’ caught 6 Yellowfin.

Posted 7 years agoHigh winds kept several of our boats the docks today, but the few that decided to fish did not come back empty handed!
The ‘No Quarter’ fished the Hot Dog, returning with 3 Bluefin and 2 Dolphin, also releasing another Bluefin. The ‘Marli’ fished the Parking Lot, returning with 5 Yellowfin. 4 Yellowfin and 2 Dolphin was the ‘Boss Hogg’s catch for the day, fresh from the Hot Dog.

Posted 7 years agoIt was a quiet a day on the docks today with the weather keeping many people at home. We only had 2 boats in our fleet that went fishing in the parking lot and were rewarded with some very nice catches. The ‘Marli’ returned with 11 yellowfin and the ‘Boss Hogg’ caught 8 yellowfin and 1 dolphin.

Posted 7 years agoThe docks were busy today as many of our holiday weekend visitors fueled up and went on their way home! We were sorry to see them go but we hope everyone had an enjoyable stay with us. Not many of our fleet went out fishing today but those who went did not come back empty handed. The ‘Marli’ went to the Washington and returned with 2 King Mackerel, 3 dolphin, and 3 Golden tile. Fishing alongside them in the Washington was the ‘Boss Hogg’ and they caught 2 yellowfin, 1 black seabass and a bunch of tile fish. The ‘Espadon’ was the only boat that fished in the Baltimore bringing back 4 dolphin and 2 yellowfin tuna.

Posted 7 years agoHappy 4th of July, everyone! We had a few boats celebrate the 4th on the water today, and even saw a White release! That release came from the ‘Oasis’, who also had 9 Dolphin from the Washington. Fishing the Hot Dog was the No Quarter, who had a king mackerel, 2 Bluefin, and 2 Yellowfin, and the ‘Marli’ who had 1 Yellowfin, 1 Bluefin, and 3 Dolphin. The ‘Boss Hogg’ fished the Lumpy Bottom, catching 2 Yellowfin and 1 Bluefin.

Posted 7 years agoWe saw today’s boaters catch tuna from a variety of places today. The ‘Marli’ had 1 Bluefin and 2 Dolphin, and chose to fish the Hot Dog. The ‘Espadon’ chose to fish here as well, catching 1 Yellowfin. The ‘No Quarter’ traveled to the Muff Diver Wrecks, catching 2 Yellowfin. Out of the Washington was the ‘Boss Hogg’ with 2 Yellowfin and 1 Dolphin, and the ‘Pumpin Hard’ with 3 Yellowfin and 4 Dolphin. The ‘Warrior II’ mixed things up a bit, fishing the Elephants Trunk and catching 1 Yellowfin and 1 Dolphin.

Posted 7 years agoThe action continues at the docks- the Yellowfin continue to bite and a couple Bluefin have now entered the mix! Our biggest catch report of the day went to the ‘No Quarter’, who had 5 Yellowfin. The ‘Marli’ had 4 Yellowfin, and the ‘My Cin’ caught 3 Yellowfin and 1 Bluefin, weighing in at 107 lbs! ‘Rhonda’s Osprey’ had 3 Yellowfin, just above the catch from the ‘No Slack’ who had 2 Bluefin. The ‘Pumpin Hard’ crew had 1 Yellowfin and 5 Dolphin. ‘Boss Hogg’ caught 1 Bluefin and 2 Dolphin on their day. All of these boats fished the Hot Dog.
The ‘Lucky Duck’ had 2 Yellowfin, following closely behind the ‘Absolute Pleaure’, who had 3 Yellowfins. ‘Tara Jessica’ had 3 Dolphin, and the ‘Reel Chaos’ had 1 Yellowfin and 3 Dolphin. These boats fished the Baltimore.
Fishing the Washington was the ‘Grande Pez’, who had 5 Dolphin and a white release!

Posted 7 years agoHappy July everybody! The holiday weekend is here and in full-swing, and the docks seem just as busy as the boardwalk!
The go-to fishing spot of the day was the Hot Dog- with all of our reports coming from there for today. The ‘No Quarter’ had 5 Yellowfin and 6 Dolphin. Docking right next to them is the ‘Grande Pez’, who had 3 Yellowfin. The ‘Blood Money’ crew was kept busy today, returning with 13 Yellowfin. Finishing up D-Dock was the ‘Zipper’, who had 5 Yellowfin and 1 Dolphin.
On C-Dock, the ‘Boss Hogg’ had 6 Yellowfins, 1 Bluefin, and 2 Dolphin. Not far down was the ‘Marli’, bringing back 5 Yellowfins. Last, but certainly not least, is the ‘Theresa Jean’, who had 3 Yellowfin and 1 Bluefin.
The docks are busy-busy-busy, and the marina is filling up with both seasonal and transient slip-holders. For those boaters looking to pay us a visit, we still have some transient slips available for select sizes!

Posted 7 years agoBusy day at the docks today- with loads of fat tuna! The Hot Dog was the fishing spot of choice for a few boats today, like the ‘Fish Tricks’, who had 3 Yellowfin and 1 Dolphin. The ‘Pumpin Hard’ had 1 Bluefin and 2 Dolphin, along with the ‘Reel Chaos’ who had 1 Yellowfin. ‘Boss Hogg’ had 1 Bluefin, 3 Yellowfin, and 2 Dolphin. The ‘Zipper’ had 2 Yellowfin and 5 Dolphin. These boats all fished the Hot Dog.
The ‘No Quarter’ fished the Muff Diver Wrecks, bringing 8 Yellowfin, 1 Bluefin, and 2 Dolphin to the docks. Fishing the Poor Mans today was the ‘White Lightning’, who had a 111 lb Bluefin and 4 Dolphin. They also released another Bluefin over 52″.
The ‘Griffin’ released a White Marlin today- and returned to the docks with 4 Yellowfin and 3 Dolphin. Talk about a nice day at the docks!

Posted 7 years agoAnother beautiful day here at Sunset Marina! There was a nice cool breeze to welcome our boats as they came back to the dock with some really nice catches! The crew of the ‘Tighten Up’ had an ice box full returning from the Baltimore with 11 yellowfin and also 2 dolphin. The ‘Grande Pez’ had an exciting day in the Hot dog returning with 14 yellowfin tuna! The crew of the ‘Bar South’ went to the Wilmington and caught 4 yellowfin tuna and 2 dolphin. The crew of the ‘White Lightning’ had 6 yellowfin and 1 dolphin and the ‘Theresa Jean’ had 4 yellowfin and 1 dolphin. Both boats were fishing the Muff Diver wreck. The rest of the fleet ventured out to the Washington canyon today. ‘Marli’ had 4 yellowfin and 3 dolphin, ‘Boss Hogg’ had 5 yellowfin and 4 dolphin and the ‘No Quarter’ hit the docks with 8 yellowfin and 1 dolphin. As you can see the outlook is good for the holiday weekend and the Marlin Club’s Canyon Kickoff Tournament!
