It’s hard to believe that the month of August is almost a wrap! What a successful month it was with a great turnout for the White Marlin Open, the Poor Girls, and the Mid-Atlantic tournaments. After a quiet few days on the docks with weather preventing our fleet from leaving , today we had a few boats head out to see what was out there. The Poor Man’s Canyon was the fishing grounds of choice today for the first few boats. First back to the dock was the crew of the “Marli” returning with 2 dolphin and a white release. Next back we had the crew of the “Tighten Up” who released 5 whites and 1 blue marlin. The crew of the “Let it Ride” returned with 3 white releases. The crew of the “Roll Groove” returned from the 151 line, catching 1 wahoo, 3 yellowfin while also releasing 4 white marlin. Finally we had the crew of the “No Quarter” come back from the Baltimore Canyon with 3 dolphin, 1 yellowfin and 3 white releases. Looks like the weather will continue to improve and a few more boats are going to venture out again tomorrow!
